Description

KazanExpress is an e-commerce marketplace with over 5 million monthly users. It was acquired by AliExpress and later by the retail chain Magnit, rebranding the platform to “Magnit Market.” I joined the B2B team to design and launch a new mobile app for sellers—a major shift from the existing seller-facing website.

Goal

Design and deliver a mobile MVP of the Sellers App in 3 months, covering all essential features.

My Contributions

As one of the product designers on the B2B team, I worked closely with PMs, developers, fellow designers and stakeholders to deliver the seller-side MVP on a tight timeline.

Key responsibilities

  • Designed core user flows: seller registration, shop creation, and marketing tools
  • Created UI for financial management, invoice tracking, and marketing dashboards
  • Developed features for managing customer reviews: search, filter, and reply
  • Supported 1,000+ vendors through thoughtful mobile UX

The mobile app was built using Flutter, which introduced both opportunities and technical constraints we had to navigate.

Finances, Invoices, Marketing screens

Customers’ reviews feature: reply, filters, search

Personal Reflection

This was my first deep dive into the B2B side of a marketplace. Before this, I had primarily worked on customer-facing features, so exploring seller workflows, financial tools, and operational complexity was both challenging and eye-opening.

Collaborating in a cross-functional team under a tight deadline taught me how to prioritize effectively, communicate clearly, and design with both speed and scalability in mind. I continued working on this product for another year after the MVP, iterating based on real vendor feedback and expanding its functionality.
